January 2009 – Farewell to George W. Bush

January 20th is the official farewell to George W. Bush, and the inauguration of Barack Obama.   To celebrate, there are a number of events world wide toasting the arrival of the Movement of Change into the Whitehouse.  However, I am sure there are as many people celebrating the departure of GWB as they are welcoming Obama.

One event in Vancouver is at the George Ultra Lounge, where on January 20th, you can watch the Obama inauguration on the big screen, enjoy complimentary canapés all night.  The night will feature special celebrity cocktail and Bourbon list (think the “Burning Bush” and the “Fool me Twice”)

To celebrate, however you feel about GWB, we have also come up with a few drinks for the occasion:

The Lost Leader

2 shots Scottish whisky (Scottish Leader)

1 shot Irish cream (Bailey's)

First place three or four ice cubes in a rock glass. The Bailey's is placed in the glass first otherwise the cream will curdle. Then the whisky is added slowly and stirred until thoroughly mixed.
