Drink Of the Month - June 2009

Alaska

No, I am not planning a trip to Alaska. I just came across this while searching for gin drinks.   I don't have any Chartreuse so I haven't tried this, but am planning to sip this on Canada Day.  Note, only green chartreuse is available in BCLDB.  Cheeeeeers, Jackie

Alaska 1

3 parts Gin

1 part Chartreuse

serve over ice in highball glass

Alaska 2

2 dashes orange bitters

2 parts Gin

1 part Chartreuse

serve over ice in highball glass

Alaska 3

2 parts London Dry Gin

1/2 Part green Chartreuse

12 part dry sherry

Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass

Alaska 4

2 dashes Orange bitters

1 1/2 oz Gin

3/4 oz Chartreuse

Twist of Lemon peel

Stir all ingredients with ice, strain contents into a cocktail glass. Drop in a twist of lemon and serve.
