May 2008 - Japanese Sex
Well if nothing else, we will get more hits on our web page – Ha Ha!! I saw a reference to this somewhere, and thought I would check it out. Have you ever tried to find out the history of Japanese Sex? Makes for some interesting hits in Google!!
Japanese Sex is a cocktail made with:
- 1 oz. Amaretto
- 1 oz. Malibu Rum
- 1 oz. Midori
- 1 splash Sweet and Sour Mix (A mixture of lemon juice and sugar syrup, also called sour mix)
Combine over ice and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Or alternatively with:
- 1 oz. Amaretto (Disaronno)
- 1 oz. Rum, coconut (Malibu)
- 1 oz. Liqueur, melon (Midori)
- 2 splashes Pineapple Juice
- 2 pieces Cherries/Maraschinos
Shake Amaretto, Malibu, Midori, and pineapple juice to taste. Pour over ice, garnish with two cherries on a toothpick.
Or even more different:
- 1 splash (mindori) Liqueur, melon (Midori)
- 1 oz. Vodka
- 2 oz. Pineapple Juice
- 2 pieces Cherries/Maraschinos
Combine ingredients in a highball glass. Float the Midori on top.
There does not appear to be any history on this drink. And the only common denominator is the Midori.
